ABC of Online Guided Tours is online course endorsed by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA).
About the Course
Over five interactive sessions, you’ll learn how to design and deliver engaging Online Guided Tours (OGT) — from idea to live streaming.
You’ll explore:
· The main differences between in-person and online guiding
· Types of OGT (live, recorded, webinar)
· Basic technical tools (camera, gimbal, microphone, connection)
· Voice, storytelling, and interpretation for online audiences
· Creation of your own short pitch video and mini-OGT as part of the final exercise
The course combines short presentations, live discussions, and practical assignments — led by an experienced team of WFTGA trainers.
What You’ll Need for the Course
To fully participate, please ensure you have:
· A stable internet connection
· A computer (with camera and microphone, both on during sessions)
· A smartphone with a camera (for practice exercises)
· Access to Zoom and a Facebook account (used for our closed group and exercises)
All content will be recorded in case you will not be able to participate live or if you would like to look at the content once again.
We’re looking forward to meeting you soon and supporting you on this creative journey — where storytelling, interpretation, and technology come togetherto inspire new ways of guiding.
