My wife and I drove from Venice to Ljubljana, and there was no doubt, because we had never been to Slovenia, that virtually everything would be a learning experience ... starting with learning how to spell "Ljubljana." That taken care of, Mateja went to work finishing the job. As an International Affairs/History major back in the day, who as taken my share of group tours, I understand much of what goes into the development of tour guide. Mateja has it all. She took us all over the city, going beyond the level of the typical guidebook or group tour, and the conversation our walk resembled an ongoing dialog much more than a lecture. Our time exploring Ljubljana with Mateja was a great investment in time and money, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks to her, we qualify among our acquaintances as the local experts on the lovely country of Slovenia. Thanks, Mateja!
