Once two towns merged in one modern, cosmopolitan European city. Accompained by a local private guide we are going to see the capital's best:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>visit the former medieval towns\u00a0<em>Kaptol &amp; Gradec<\/em>\u00a0and discover how they merged into one city \u2013\u00a0<em>Free Royal Town of Zagreb<\/em>, in 1850<\/li>\n<li>learn about Croatia\u2019s turbulent history under the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Communist Yugoslavia (1945-90), Homeland War and more<\/li>\n<li>Dolac market \u00bbthe belly of the city\u00ab<\/li>\n<li>the tour will end with wine-tasting of Croatian indigenous wines<\/li>\n<li>private tour for up to 8 people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Along walking in downtown area, stories, myths and legends will be presented. We'll be\u00a0<em>\u2018Happily Lost\u2019<\/em>\u00a0in Zagreb. During Zagreb walking tour we shall visit places that travelers often miss, because they are not documented in printed guides. After the tour, we will go to \u2018<em>Basement<\/em>\u2018 wine-bar. In easy-going and cozy atmosphere we\u2019ll taste 2 different indigenous wines of Croatia. Also, short (hi)story of wine-making in Croatia will be presented. You will get some time off to plunge in Zagreb's life and than we will be going back to Ljubljana. We will be back at around 5 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Itinerary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Departure from Ljubljana around\u00a0<strong>9:00am<\/strong>\u00a0(suggested). At around 11 am we are going to meet our Zagreb local guide and start\u00a0<strong>sightseeing tour<\/strong>:\u00a0<em>main square Bana Jela\u010di\u010da, old towns Kaptol &amp; Gradec, local market Dolac, cathedral,...<\/em>The tour will end up with\u00a0<strong>wine tasting and finger food<\/strong>\u00a0in a local\u00a0<em>\u2018Basement\u2018<\/em>\u00a0wine-bar.. After time off, we will pick up our car\/mini-van and drive back to Ljubljana.
